Ring Roller Project

Still thinking about building a ring / tube roller, the only two things now that i am unsure of is whether to go with a chain / sprocket drive on bottom two pulley's and just using the top roller for thrust, or driving top thrust roller, which to my mind leaves more chance of slippage on tube / flat / bar whatever I choose to use,also whether to use bearing / plumber block shafft or Oilite bush's for the roller shafts.

Not sure but I think it was snowcat who had a Samson roller....? if so could you please tell me how it was driven, apart from handballed that is... any thoughts or comments are welcomed....

chains the best both wheels driven bronze bushes or plumber blocks depends on what u can scrounge .obviously the bigger the bushes the better

Well, in absence of any further input from anyone, thanks for pics bs, have decided to go with bearings and housings, and a bottom chain drive.

I made one with just the top pinch roller driven by a crank handle.
It does sometimes require you to push the metal through as well as turn the crank.
