Rifle stock duplicator help

I’ve bought a rifle stock duplicator but I’m in need of a way to secure the stock and the piece of wood and also for the to turn in sync first pic is what I’m trying to make or something similar anyone got any ideas please second picture is the machine I have

Chain and sprockets in the box at the end of the picture on the left, you turn one stock the other one turns the same. I seen pictures before with the stock and blank held in with a screw, at the forend in the barrel channel. I'd imagine the loads are light so no need for anything really robust.

have a look at this......it's making Axe handles and the machine is 1885...
I'm into older machines.....

There's a BSA rifle stock duplicator in the Think Tank museum in Brum that might be worth a look.

at 6.40mins in did anyone notice the completly ungaurded circ saw.....hahaha.....
apart from the linishers I guess nothing has changed much since 1885 eh.....

Okay, I saw this earlier.

I have built a few duplicators and actually used one or two. The best one was one which duplicated Pistol grips, very well built, my pal still has it.

Tht guy I bought my Monarch lathe off was a last maker he shipped it over in a container with some last copying machines from the same era. They could make direct copies or left and right footed pairs.

its the better type if you want to do decals names or holes for plates can also do the barrel routering as well and alot more

thats the wood free type there is metal ones as well

My coronet table saw has a guard on top but not underneath. Just a completely open saw blade spinning around exactly where you might rest your hands.

Some h&s is madness but a lot makes sense!
