reversing motor

fitted motor to southbend but runs wrong way.
came off old drill press and got 2 wires coming out of it straight to choc block then to plug.

is how it came on drill press.
want to fit box to where wires come out eventually then to the forward/ reverse switch that came with it looks like dewhurst switch but labelled southbend.

can i just swap 2 black wires over to reverse it?

No. on AC that'll have no effect at all. Need to find some sort of junction box on motor to re-arrange connections. Motor info plate or junction box picture would help. Oh, and don't leave it connected like that - some sort of cover on the choc block please, and some sort of strain relief setup so it doesn't all fall apart when you trip over the cable.

as i said came like that uncle is running me maplins tomorrow to get metal project box for it.
that is how it came out a factory.

That's the spec. plate. If you take the plate off where the connections are, there tends to be a sticker on the backside of that plate, telling you which two wires to change to reverse direction.
