Where can i get a 7w 2r2 resistor for my clarke mig 90en. Have tried Maplins but they dont have any.

7W is an odd size. You will more likely be able to find a 10W, 2.2 ohm.

as long as the resistance in the same (i.e. 2.2 Ohms) you can use any power greater than the original. Obviously if you by a 400W resistor it won't fit in the same space as a 7w one.
