Replicating a curve for railings

I think I will head down with framing square, tape and length of bar with 100mm marks, measure out to the kerb and record it. Then plot that out onto MDF, and take the template down to the section benders near me.

I'd just use lengths of wire to match the profile , transfer that onto the workshop floor and then bend to shape.

Tracing paper, just on a larger scale. Plastic sheet laid over the area and weighed down then draw all the datums and shapes in marker then lay it out on the workshop floor.
