Replacing a Cebora CP40 torch

Greets all.
I have a little Power Plasma 3100. Nice little machine for what I need
it to do but the consumables are very expensive.

Its just about time to rebuild the torch (body/hose) and I'm wondering
if I couldn't put on a "generic" plasma torch of similar rating that, hopefully,
uses less expensive parts.

I asked my weld shop and they said can't be done, must use Cebora parts.
Then again they sell me the consumables so probably not best people
to ask.

I opened 'er up and it looks like a straightforward connection.

So, unless I'm missing something, any suggestions?

It probably depends on the arc starting system, some use pilot arc, some use HF, some use touch/push start.
I know from past threads on here that Cebora plasmas are a bit finicky when it comes to replacing the torches.

I don't think there's anything complicated about the torch on mine.
Unless there's magic going on.

Push the button, pilot arc starts.

I assume that as long as the sizing inside the torch is the same
(orifice, gap size, etc), everything should work?

If it's pilot arc then maybe a straightforward swap for a Trafimet one would do?
