you could always buy them, use whichever is needed, spray it with brake cleaner afterwards then return saying they didnt fit down the plug holes 
Now, if I could only learn to be like that myself......

no no, we dont encourage that here...buy literally everything you think you might need atleast once, and keep it tucked away for just in case

I've thinned down normal deep sockets on the lathe when needed. If you dont have a lathe this sounds like the perfect excuse to buy one 
Other option is use a grinder to thin it down, but that removes the need for a lathe so pretend I didnt mention a grinder and go get a lathe

A Halfrauds set is the only socket I have that will fit a deep recessed plug on a 90s Nissan - worth a look?
