removing silicone gasket.... help required

I need to remove some silicone gasket from a "non flat" surface... it has a recess along most of its length, prior to replacing it.

obviously I cannot use a flat scraper & because of the size & shape it is difficult to scrape with smaller tools without scarring the metal.... any suggestions?

also whats best for a wet rocker cover gasket? ( horizontal lawnmower engine)

have a look in screwfix u can get silicone remover put it on and it just desolves page 73 part no 75756 £10 .21or cheaper still same page 17175 £ 2.79 p

Petrol will soften most silicone sealant.

we used to use an old lolly stick and a bit of rag/splash of 4star ! works on most gasket's and metals.....(old LR's etc) spray remover! There's posh LOL
