It was a well kown thing in the 80's scooter scene for number plates to be swapped, borrowing of AA membership cards, driving licences to be borrowed, different names given to coppers when pulled, 200's registered as 125cc's. A friend of mine had a motorbike mot testing station at each end of his road, in the morning it went to one place with one number plate on it, the afternoon it went to the other with a different plate.A place I went for mots in five years it never went inside the shop, quick check of lights, pull the front brake, press the rear brake, pay your money and get your ticket.
