I bought yet another project a few weeks ago, well 3 I suppose, 2 Guzzi Lodola 175's and a 235. One day I'll learn to resist
. Anyway, the guy who was selling them told me that he'd had some parts re-chromed, so I thought fine, that'll save some money. What he didn't mention was that the platers had managed to plate the threads on the swingarm spindle so the nut won't go on, and I have to ask myself, why chromeplate a swingarm spindle in the first place? What I need is a safe, cheap and non-destructive way of getting the chrome out of the threads. It looks like there isn't any copper or nickel, just chrome, all reasonable suggestions welcome.
