Remake exhaust manifold's welds

Hi,
I received this exhaust manifold and really would like to stay on the safe side and make some better welds:

Any advice to make some stronger welds? Grind away the old ones and make new ones or tig and fill on the old ones? Thanks

Is that a milltek manifold perchance?

They didn't purge the back side of their weld.

i would flush off the existing weld and re-do with tig then maybe consider using a pencil grinder and dress the inside up a bit....

I'd just use it as it is, maybe clean the frazz on the inside a bit but if it doesn't blow there's nothing wrong with it.

No, it's not a milltek manifold it's an old nissan modified to fit a turbo. And yes, they didnt purge the back for sure!

Ok.. and yes I'll definitely use the pencil grinder in anyway!

I'm just afraid it didn't blow yet --- it has not many miles on it, and, as a turbo manifold, it gets quite hot and remove it again later will really be a pita, so really would like to improve it now if possible. Thanks

As above, I wouldn't say it's great or that you can't improve it, but it's probably perfectly adequate!

If you are that worried. I would not grind all the weld off! (as you may loose the pipe angle). Just grind it flat and build it up!

I am a motor mechanic, I know to my peril, a few degrees lost in an exhaust system joint will make it very awkward to fit.
