I am hoping somebody can assist, One of my clients has asked me to supply the following, Any ideas of potential suppliers

" TYPE REINFORCING WELD SLEEVE , to suit 30" OD Pipe (1/2" Thick Plate ) Composing TWO Half Section length 118" (3000MM) Manufactured from Plates TO BS4360 Grade 55C Shot - Blasted & Coated with Polymide CuredExpoy Ship Primer (PLS check The attachment) QTY 16 ST "

wow there gonna be big.
doenst say anything about width though, or does it.
not gonna be many fab shops with rollers big enough for that. think a boat builders yard would be one to try.
press bbrake would do it but theres gonna be lots of creases over 6000mm.
try a boat yard or a big big fabrication company.

Barnshaws are a good bet, well worth a ring.


3m of 12mm plate is pretty heafty, and quite a tight rad for that size aswell...
Cant remember if our rolls are 2.5 or 3m, but i dont reckon it would do 12mm down to that tight anyway.

I got in touch with The Angle Ring Company a while back about something (a lot!) smaller. They were extremely helpful and judging by some of the pictures on their site, I don't think they'd have too much problem with 1/2" plate.

you used them before?
they do upto 80mm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there rollers are massive. i can remember seeing some on telly at a boat yard. they were upright though.

We have the odd bit from them, always very good for sizes, which is a bonus!

Angle ring, thats the other one i was trying to think of.

Half inch is a bit wee for them though... 100mm thick is more their bag
