Sorry to sound a bit thick but I have become a little confused with the different regulators available.
I have been welding (mig) for a few years now and have always used CO2, I have an account with BOC.
The other day my CO2 bottle ran a little low so I decided to find out what all the fuss was about and try some Argoshield light. Drove down to the local BOC tradequip centre (st helens) and spoke to the nice man there.
No he said, your regulator will not fit argoshield bottles, they have a different fitting to CO2 bottles, you need one of these regulators (£79+vat).
now after reading some other threads on here on the subject I am confused, my regulator is almost identical to this one (pic borrowed from other thread)
he said it wont fit because argoshield uses a male connector and goes into the top of the bottle not the side like CO2.
can someone shed some light on all this please?
