Had a reg fail on me yesterday, it was the one that come with the mig i bought. I was welding hooks on rusty paint jigs when i heard alot of hissing, went straight over to switch off bottle and bang, ears ringing, lucky i still had my gloves on as i had my hand on the tap key at the time, the brass fitting blew up and the the hose, and somthimg hit my little finger (through the thick glove) which is still a bit swelled now, could have been alot worse.
The strange thing is i took the reg off the other bottle, altered the gas flow and that went funny to, (couldent get enough gas through), so put a third brand new one on and all was ok.
I have never had a reg fail then two in one day.
