Refreshing leather car seats

Given me Audi a real good clean up today, transformed it from a van back to a car. It looks fairly good, minor marks on the body work, ok inside.
Front seats let it down a bit, looking a bit tired - bit like Nora Battys stockings - i've seen various sprays and stuff in car shops, but don't seem that good.

Is there a professional product that will smarten them up a bit; suppose they need a bit of moisture back in them, not sure whether that would do much, but here's hoping

Try a saddlers. Neatsfoot oil, leather food or saddle soap. Tell them what you want it for and they should be able to recommend the most appropriate product.

Liberon do one, mate uses it on antique leather, writing desks and such like.

Tell her to wear knickers If you need to clean the leather you need something like Lakeland kit for cleaning then preserving after.

The oily products will tend to come off on your clothes and smell really bad !!

There is only one product range that I have found satisfactory after nearly 40 years of maintaining leather in both classic cars with uncoated leather and modern cars with coated leather.

However I have only ever used it on English leather, so I can't speak with personal experience of German leather.
I once had the misfortune to have a Benz and it was only when I handed the keys back after nearly 5 years that I found out it was of a specification that had leather seats - I assumed they were vinyl given their look and feel!

Sure, take a look at your (leather) welding gloves after you've been welding with them for a while....heat makes them shrink!

Not sure if it's a good idea on a car seat tho...

I use the Autoglym stuff too, Gliptone is probably better but the Autoglym is subtle rather than overpowering aroma wise imo. Neither will leave a greasy residue or transfer to clothes unless you use too much and/or immediately sit in the car. I wouldn't go near modern coated car leather (as said can look and feel closer to fake leather due to the coatings, effectively being 'painted' and clear coated) with traditional hide food type stuff as it won't be able to absorb it

3rd for Auotglym. We use it on our "I can't believe how much I paid for it" Leather Suite.

We've had it 12yrs and it looks like it just came out of the shop.
