Redoing roof, how to blend it in.

Not sure of the cause, maybe too hot or trapped solvents but my roof has dried with a very rough texture, so much so I cant even sand it out, everything else is really good so I'm going to sand it right back respray it.

The A pillars are thin so that won't be an issue but the c pillars are abit larger,
Ive bent some masking tape to make a soft edge, but I'm not really sure how much base/clear I should be putting next to it.

Do I go wet close to the masking, then spray some thinned out clear to blend it together?

We never masked the blend, wet & dried blend aria carried it on with 1000 then you can loose the edge when you polish, masking was on the next panel or well away from the blend, people try & keep the repair small it is much harder to do that

I used to see some of the painters make a 'wizard sleeve' type pocket out of the brown masking paper to flick the blend.

if you paint up to the folded back on it self tape then you will get an edge.

Yeah it didn't look it would work.
I will leave any masking, sanded the pillars to 1200, blend it in and cut and polish it out.

Such a pain when you think you've done a good job and that happens.
I think it was a mixture of being too hot and putting the clear down too wet which gave it the solvent pop, much cooler tomorrow, I'll give it alot more time in between coats and go abit easier with the amount of clear
