Recycling batterys ie AA AAA type

Normaly drop them off a Aldi but was looking for an alternative place found out that if you sell

"You must offer free collection (‘takeback’) of waste or used batteries if you sell or supply 32kg or more of portable batteries per year.

Cant say iv ever seen a place in morrisons to recycle them

Netto used to have a bin to recycle batteries, but that seems to have disappeared since Asda took them over.

Maybe you have to ask a member of staff? People probably wouldn't bother so the supermarket wouldn't have the hassle whilst still conforming with the law.

I think it means that if a shop sells 4 battery's a day or more, it should have a recycle point, not that they use 4 battery's a day

I keep forgetting to take my old batteries to be recycled....these are the batteries Ive used in about 10 years. I use rechargeable these days for aa and aaa for most things these days, just have a few sets spare that are ready charged, so just swap and recharge them as necessary. works out much cheaper in the long run too

My son is obsessed with batteries, he likes to look at the recycling tub and can find one most places we go, I have seen one in Morrisons, but it is a big place and also head office not far away so they might have to be on the ball?

Asda it's in the entrance, where they keep the trolley wipes and Aldi have it on that packing shelf

Our local Sainsburys has one, we collect the batteries in a bag and drop them off about every 6 months.

I put old batteries in the mixed recycling bin. As I do cfl lamps. Anything they don't like they leave behind... But the batteries and lamps are always collected.
