Recommended spray gun for lacquer

This really isn't a topic I have much info on.

I am starting to do more sculpture stuff and need to clear coat it with a lacquer probably 2K lacquer.

But I need to get a decent spray gun, I have been looking at the Devilbiss FLG5 and supposedly it's recommended to get a gravity fed rather than suction version.

Or are there better suggestions ? It will be for mainly clear coating / lacquering and not much else.

I have an Abac 3914 compressor with a 150l tank - about 15 cfm I think.

I've got a flg-5 and have found it easy to use and well built- the seals have just gone on the rear but i wasn't cleaning it properly to start with. Haven't used it with 2K so can't directly recommend it for that but has been fine with cellulose paints and have found it easy enough to get a good finish

I've run mine with a smc water and oil mist catcher and have had no reactions or contamination, have also got a specific spray hose which helps to

If it's small stuff you are doing what about a devilbiss sri pro, it's a good gun and with your compressor you should be able to run an airfed mask as well. I have a clarke 3hp compressor and use a devilbiss airfed with an sri pro, the compressor works hard but pressure never drops. The sri pro gives a very good out of gun finish and spares are available.
