Recommend me some PPE for burning.

Can someone help me here. I've got a lot of burning to do working from a scissor lift and using a forklift and I'm getting fed up with keep removing my gauntlets and hard hat to put on/take off my burning goggles. Ideally, I'd like to find a CE hard hat with some kind of flip-up burning visor. So far all I've found is headband type visors but you can't wear a hard hat with them. Any suggestions welcome.

Also, I need some very good gauntlets. What make are best? My first pair were utter rubbish, the lining pulled out and stitching parted along the finger in 2 shifts. Now I have some Tiger ones that are a lot better - been using them all week but now the lining has started to come out of them too.

I managed to get a suede waistcoat which is doing a good job of covering my arms and up to my neck so if I can get these other two bits sorted I'll be pretty well covered.

I had a similar problem, wanting to wear a hard hat with a visor. In the end I bought a chainsaw helmet and fixed some polycarbonate to the mesh visor. So I now have visor, hard hat and ear protectors in one unit.

You can get the screens to clip onto a hard hat, we used them at the foundry like this one. You need to buy the carrier as well. You can get the screens in green for burning and gas welding.

My own personal choice would be PULSAFE BROWGUARD with Shade 5 VISOR but as you say you have to wear a hard hat as well, then THIS with THIS would also work

I use the CLEAR at work, as for the gloves, a good pair of arc,mig gloves are good for this I use THESE and have never had any trouble with the lining coming apart HTH....

Go to Arco and buy a Centurion Concept hard hat, you can buy all the attachments for it there also. Good bit of kit.
