i had an interesting conversation on Tuesday with my next door neighbour who gleefully told me he was having a H/Pump system installed next January. Big savings and a gov. grant what is there not to like ? I asked him how it works as I really cannot get my head around it."Oh it's simple ,it just extracts the heat from the air." I said " what, even when it's below zero? " " yes of course" Hmmmm We shall see. Strangely enough he just happens to work for some Eco company and is supposedly involved in installing these magical wonders. By the way I have just invented a perpetual motion machine .If you want to invest please send used bank notes to Conny Mann in deepest Africa.
Bought a secondhand one of these. Got it for a decent price too, collected today and tested it out and I’m toasty warm again. Bonus is the local BP sells red diesel.

Can I ask where you’re getting those prices please? Cheapest KeromI can get is 34 quid for 20 litres. Ta.

Try GB fuels in Erdington, 74p a litre at the pump according to their website.
I'll be trying them when I run out of diesel....
Yep, 20 litre drum, 34 shekels. Only local place that does it.
Will try GB Fuels.

That's for central heating kerosene, doubt it would be that price to have 20l delivered though.

Its used to be that orders over 2250ltrs or 500 gallons of gasoil/kero attracted the 20% vat and under that it was 5%

I've got a water battery fan heater thing (like a car radiator with a van blowing through it) running from an 18kw gas combi boiler... combi boiler normally runs at 85'C doing 2 radiators in the tea room... with the fan heater running the water temp drops to 60'C and below as it struggles to keep up... it's been on 24/7 for the last week... it's still cold, thermals/coat/hat and gloves when you can
bought a 22kw electric heater, expensive to run (£3/hour?) just tested it out.... it's not making any difference :-(
think all the heat is getting out of the (big) roof vents :-(

To save me searching, does anybody know if you can wire these so you can control them by a remote switch?
I know eberspacher you can just connect a couple wires and have them fire up, but can you do the same with these.
Or at least, does somebody have a copy of the instructions?

I'm looking to be able to control it via a relay, so I can control it from wherever I can get internet access and turn it on before I venture into the workshop.
Tried GB Fuels today. Terrible. Posh website but the reality is a small scruffy yard, diesel all ofer the ground. No drums, doesn’t take cards and the actual bloke can’t string a sentence together.
No idea. Makes no difference really. I only wanted some kero as advertised on the website, no chance. Not very helpful at all. Looks much like they only want to sell large deliveries but if that’s the case why advertise smaller retail sales? 
Edit. Just to add I want the 25 or 20 litre pre pack drums as they are (should be) sealed so won’t make a mess in the car. I also don’t want to get it in the carpets off my shoes. Just have to keep buying red from the local petrol station.
