Recommend an MB25 torch please

Hi All,
I've recently bought a s/h Lincoln 210 (1ph) but the torch has numerous burns where it has been hung over hot metal,
but since the machine works perfectly I thought I'd treat it to a new torch.

I try to avoid cheap Chinese tack so what's the one to go for? (standard Euro fitting)

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum, I can recommend the Binzel MB25AK ergo type torch as they can survive the abuse the production welders give them at work and usually only die from extreme physical abuse see pic in "production welders" thread!

Won't go wrong with one of these. I have a 215A machine but with the MB15 torch mainly because most of my work is done on vehicles, the smaller gun being a bit more manouverable.

I've been looking at the TBI MB25 4m and the Parweld SB250 Ergo 4m. Both around the £65 mark.

I couldn't find a price for the Binzel, only "Binzel Type".

The set has an MB15 3m which is still usable but a 4m MB25 would be handy.

I'm currently abusing a 4m Binzel type MB15 at home and a 5m Binzel type MB25 at work, both made by Starparts and available at good prices.
I opted for the "bladeswitch" type for reliability. I don't like microswitches.

I'd get a 3m parweld ergo, pretty good torches them. Better than the eco version.

I think my local welding rep is psychic, or reads this forum.

He called in yesterday at 4.30 to drop of some stainless cleaning pads.

So based on info gleaned from here I've ordered a Binzel one.
