Recomended books on tig

Hi all im going on my holidays wenesday and i was going to get a book to read on tig can any of you recomend any

What holiday must you be going where reading a book about Tig welding is even remotley appealing???

I don't know of any specific Tig books, but the Science and Practice of welding by AC Davies is very good.......all about Theory and Practice about all types of welding and Mettalurgy.

I also hear that Fly Fishing by J.R Hartley is a popular read..........but a bugger to get hold of!

Iv'e got ..."Welders handbook" and "Performance welding" by Richard Finch, Which i found were quite useful to start. They are not exclusively about Tig but general welding methods.

I like Finch's Welder's Handbook -- along with the Ron Fournier books (again by HP) it was my bedtime reading for a good while (somebody pinched it). I've never read the Performance Welding one, though.

There's quite a lot of stuff out there on the net that's worth downloading and printing out, especially on the Miller site

What sort of bed partners do you have fingers, that would pinch a mans Welder's Handbook, was it a closet welder hee hee.

You know Jugs, my first interest in welding -- although I didn't do any more than cutting up scrap with a gas axe for the next 5 years -- was piqued by my then girlfriend, a lady sculptor/welder! So, having welding books by the bedside has been a feature of my life for many years!

Oh ehrmm, about the books,

Try the J.F. Lincoln foundation. They have some excellent books.
