Reboot BMS Lifepo4 batteries

Posting this as a new thread for better visibility.
I recently posted about a battery leaving me stranded on a mobility scooter and Aliexpress awful customer service.
Battery was showing 0.31v after the incident.
Yesterday I decided to try a quick fix.
A jump start. Just take any 12v Battery. I used a big lead acid. Briefly hook up jumper leads. You only need a few seconds. Live to live negative to negative. No drama no sparks. Worked a treat. Showing 12.1v. Stuck it on charge working fine.
Apparently some BMS can kick in too early. Drop below 12v shuts the Battery off.

How is it working once you put a load on it? The faulty one i described in your other thread that i had would charge and register the correct voltage and then cut out after a few minutes load on it.

I dont think you should be messing with batteries Fizzy, there will be a reason why it cut out. At least its not a lipo or li ion, so your chance of having a fire is slightly reduced...

Recommending it to others in the way you have, I consider dangerous advice. There are ways to recover a battery but jumping it with a lead acid, is not the correct way.
Messing with batteries requires some knowledge, context of why its failed and understanding the risk.

I do understand these batteries pretty well. This reboot of the BMS is a tried and trusted method as used by many people.
Obviously I take all suitable precautions. Not leaving the battery unattended whilst charging. Brought it home with me last night and put it in the garden shed just in case!
If this hasn't fixed it properly I will take it apart and swap out the BMS if needed.
