No, I built the motor for fast road/green laning/comp' safari (which i never did)/RTV trials (only did one!). The winch was rear mounted for self recovery and trailer loading.

Best winch set-up I ever saw was in a Foers Ibex. Winch mounted inside under the floor behind front seats, well out of the mud. Winch line fed to rear and round a sheave along side chassis tube to front so one winch could winch forwards or backwards.
It's a similar set-up on my 101 but you have to manually re-route the cable to the rear outlet, on the Ibex it was a permanent set-up.
