Rear inner wing for 3 door Range Rover bobtail. Pattern parts are whoopling expensive (£175 a quarter) - Makays charged me £65 for an entire sheet of 16 guage. I wanted to fit bigger wheels, so I decided to make my own with mor egenerous dimensions: -
Sheet is 1.6 mm, using Argosheild Light (8l/min flow rate) through a SIP Topmig 150 (I know! - brought it before I was a member....). Power setting 3 with wire speed 6.I'm not sure if I've got enough penatration? - Should I turn the wire speed down a bit? Do you think I should fillet weld the inside of the joint or should I continue with plug welding the angle?
As you can see the weld is still quite proud so I've got a few hours of grinding ahead of me! Appologies in advance for the poor picture quality.
Any comments both negative and positive appreciated!
