really cool trick

hi all whilst fiddling about at work on saturday afteroon on the forge i had been practicing making snails from 10mm round bar but they somehow allways lookd a bit boring so i had the idea of putting some brazing rod into the scroll before i tightened it up and it came out a treat so if i did the scroll looseley quenched it then pushed in the brass wire then heated it to a bright red which was enough to near on liquify the brass cool it enough so thee brass solidified enough for me to tighten it up on the anvil. ill get some pictures when i get home
