Really bad toilet flush...

Ok I've search the web bit not found anything useful so to the hive mind of the MWF!
The brand new toilet is not flushing at all well, even a bit of bog roll won't disappear without two flushes and anything more is a errr problem...
It's a crappy little 6 liter concealed cistern from Easy Bathrooms with a 3.5 and 6 liter flush, the fill level is adjusted as high as possible.

Any suggestions on what to try?

Can you block off the overflow temporarily and fill the cistern to the brim.

That will tell you if it just needs more water or if the whole toilet is hopeless and needs replacing.

There does seem to be a notable tendency, by sanitaryware manufacturers, to prioritise form over function. They produce a fancy trendy design, but then don't perform realistic functional tests of the product.

That said, there should be no kinks, or other impediments to flow in the downpipe from the cistern. It might be worth checking that there's no protective packaging still in place.
