What sort of age are these? They must have been like the Black and Decker drill of their time - lots about, and still in use!

If I remember correctly, they made them from sometime in the 30's onwards.

old post I know but my saws a 1935 . its stamped on the vice runners. after seeing others cleaning and painting theirs I dug mine out and took a good look mechanically sound but rusty and filthy just been doing some sandblasting on it and power washing the grease and oil of it. I even stretched to using etch primer on it then slapped a load of enamel paint over it . il put some pictures up of it . put a new supply flex on it and a new plug really pushed the boat out

Oh you have upcycled it, worth £2,000 at least for some yuppie to put it in his/her riverside apartment as a piece of art.

the bow on the newer saws are much heavier and the vice more substantial than the earlier ones. apart from that not a lot of difference

They did make some monster size ones for cutting girders and large stuff. Haven't found one yet.
