range 1 and 2 button-old sip

hi all, new to the forum and have found it very helpfull, i need to know what the range push switch is for on my old migmate, its 15-20 years old, thanks for any help

I'm guessing you have something along the lines of a high/low setting then 1, 2, 3 or suchlike? To step up the power it is either low-1, low-2..... high-1, high-2 etc. or low-1, high-1, low-2, high-2 etc. Sorry, I can't remember which but a bit of experimentation should clear it up. Hope that helps?

It'll be coarse and fine adjustments. Lots of welders have this system. Set the hi/low coarse button first, then adjust with the fine control. Al
