Rand Economig 125a

Hi, just joined the forum after getting my first welder.

I did a bit of stick welding when I was in school a few years back, I've always wanted a mig welder.

One came up locally and I had a few quid spare so bought it.

It's a Rand Economig 125a, Which I believe is the same make as Miller?

Just a quick query I have 3 switches in total, One being mains power on/off. The other two are min/max and 1/2. I'm thinking min/max is power setting but what about 1/2 selection?

I've got a manual for it but it doesn't say what it is and cannot find any info on the internet.

Anyway hopefully this can be answered and what a great forum.

Usually min1, min2, max1, max2 gives you 4 different settings and the wire speed takes care of the rest. Not sure about the on/off though

Thanks for the reply, I am still a little confused on how to set and use say medium power with the switches.

One switch does max and min the other 1 and 2.
