Railings Question

What are the round knob things on the tops of railings called?
I need one. It is a round ball with a short section of square bar attached.
I don't know where to look as I don't know what it is called.

Alternatively, do you know of a company that is prepared to sell one large ball bearing and I'll make one up?

Forest metal Components have the exact thing you mention, it's called a rail head, look in the railhead small section.
