where would be best place to get some rail track?
only need 2ft ish to make anvil out of.

33kgs isn't heavy? Especially for an anvil.

Is there a specific reason you're using rail? I'd recommend just buying an anvil off eBay, they can be pretty cheap.

More mass will make working with it much easier.

the northeast line goes past 10 yards from my house and theres a 10 foot piece of track lying there anyone care to lift it if it had been 4foot it wouldnt still be there

Fair enough.
There are some pretty deserted sections of line not far from me, I might do a reccy session one of these nights !
There is also a section of ancient wide gauge line, obviously long disused, not far away. When I first discovered it it was all extremely corroded though. There was even an abandoned 30's car at the bottom of an embankment, something like a Ford Pop !!

You have to remember the railtrack in the states is whey BIGGER than what we use here.

As for where to find it, do you know anyone who works at a pit

thats the one shox dr.
hes just finished a grinder stand using some old school tables we cut up.
not a bad bit if kit holds 4 small grinders and the 9" one, with all the discs etc and goggles,extension lead.
best bit is its on wheels
