He's spent the day making the plate and lining it up, the original belt cover almost fits perfectly but the bearing housing on the front plate protrudes slightly so need to trim it but otherwise it's a perfect replacement.
Well that's it up and positioned, everything is more or less done so just waiting on the belts to reassemble!
Belt cover was modified to fit the motor bearing boss
The bushings turned down without much issue and popped in nicely after sitting overnight in the freezer and the pulley/backgear assembly in the air fryer for a couple minutes lol.
The gears it came with thankfully are enough to get most metric and the 4-30tpi range as it has 50/39/33/40/26.
Would need a 20 and 42 but don't really cut enough threads to need them but can get them commercially 3d printed in nylon like the tumbler gears that should arrive tomorrow.
Motor and belts in and it runs great however backgear has a very worn/cracked tooth so it will fail eventually but since the backgear will rarely be used and only be used for low speed with decent torque it's only doing ~1 rev per second and the slapping is less when gears are under load.
We also got a stainless table from the monthly sweeneykincaid.com commercial kitchen auction so now have a nice drip tray.
All assembled and working nicely just need to get some larger insert tooling, grind the jaws as slightly out and figure out how to fix the play in the tailstock bore as it moves almost 1mm when you don't have the lock slightly on unfortunately.
