It used to cripple me. The button was so stiff and awkward. Ended up with a very bad shoulder. My brother and mate helping said the same.
The footswitch is brilliant.
Now not only faster but safer as well even if it doesn't look it.

Been awhile since I've seen an S10, still have a full S10 kit with sealed canister in kit bag I found towards end of a tour.
What do you think of the saw; do you just cut wood with it, or metal as well? I've been considering getting one, but reviews always seem so mixed about the Evolution brand saws... wondering if the DeWalt Metalica will be a safer bet.

The saw is brilliant. The first one I bought went bang after 6 months but replaced under warranty.
VERY noisy so ear protection essential.
Loads of power goes through even 6"x6" timber with ease.
I only use if for wood - although I often hit nails as it is pallet wood.
I have tried it on 6mm angle iron - cuts ok but a bandsaw much better.
Blade lasts a good time the way I use it.
And yes I love my S10 - nothing gets past it. great for nasty paints and chemicals. Almost out of filters now though so might have to get a newer mask.

We nearly bought one just for wood cutting ourselves, but went with an electric chainsaw for that job instead.
Sad to say I've not used my S10, used my issue one on tour and since getting back just threw it in storage in case of terrorism or something weird, not something I could throw away, but never thought of using it. Might actually dig it out and use it for next time I'm painting or handling something nasty, will help my half respirator I use for welding last a bit longer.

I use mine for metal....what a treat use....I use mine for multiple cuts and angle on small stuff,
Mostley 50x25x3 box etc and tube + rebar....
Only thing I found not up to par is the crappy vice but will modify that easy enough....
Did write to Rage about it but never got a reply.....but dam good machines even tho...
They make a bigger model which I would have bought but it's only for the USA market right now.

I do have a 12” band saw as well.....
Also bought the largest Rage metal circular saw as well....mainly used at the steel pile to chop up larger stuff that’s to heavy to carry....particularly 200-250 x10mm plate.....
Bought it mainly for 1 job....have to build the frames for a 200m2 barn on site with no real cutting gear ...
Don’t wanna burn 8mm plate for the roof flanges...so will buy 10x5’sx8mm and use a straight edge to cut the angles....
A bit like chopping up plywood....
Nice clean edges for welding....easy-peas....just noisy...hahaha...

I used to use an electric chainsaw but the Rage saw is far faster and doesn't care if you hit nails.
I nearly went for the smaller model - so glad I didn't.
One thing though - hard to believe but cutting lots of hardwood blunts a blade faster than metal - the pallet bloke next to me tries to avoid hardwood pallets for dismantling. He uses dirty great big horizontal bandsaws. Puts the pallet on the table - machine pulls it through and just cuts the nails between the blocks and planks. He sells the planks and blocks to other companies and also re manufacturers pallets.
