Hello,
I am looking for a tool to remove stubborn rounded radiator bleed screws.
The tiny 4-5mm ones with little space between the double radiators.
Also, a professional quality key for the new screws when replaced.
I'm assuming its an old rad and the bleed screw is set into it, rather than a removable hex?
Could try long nose mole grips?
If its the kind where the whole bleed screw unit isn't removable it may be time to change the rad, it will be cheaper than your time and less costly if it goes wrong.
I have made a few various size keys, Usually find or turn some suitable tubing and tap a square headed tap etc, into it and knock the tubing around the square You could make one sized so that it was a nice gentle tap on fit, Weld on a washer etc onto the other end for the turny bit,
Thanks guys,
I was hoping there might be a gripping tool similar to a tap holder, but alas no.
I might try making a tapered square hole in some old tool to tap on the bleedscrew.
Or even just bash my current tool on the side to tighten the fit.
