Just watched Racing legends John Surtees
What an excellent program brought back a few memories, as my Dad was well into the bike scene then,
in fact a good friend of my dad was mentioned, Les Graham another well known rider of the time ( who I was middle named after ).
What A strong willed man John was ( and still is ) now founding and helping run the henry surtees foundation using Ironically an agusta helicopter.
It was Mv Agusta that John rode for, winning the world championships
Nice to see a decent bit of telly, telling his life story.

Yes but not without his troubles, one race he won it was appealed against ------ by his own team ---to try and discredit him, also he didn't get on with everyone at Ferrari, he then had had enough of Ferrari's political policies and left scuppering his chances of yet another world championship win.

I missed the first couple of minutes but managed to record it for my dad's next visit. Great programme, the first in the series was Barry Sheen which I also missed a bit but recorded, Graham hill was the second programme but missed it, I should have taped the series.

I would have liked to be a fly on the wall at the next meeting between Enzo Ferrari & the team manager that effectively pushed him out. Enzo was known to be "outspoken" shall we say.

Yeah Ferrari should and always shouldhave got overthemselves.
They seem to have always tripped themselves up thinking they are the big I'AMS
Yes they have had success over the years but it always seems to be a huge cost to someone and not always monetory.

I tried that tonight only for it to say that it is 'unavailable', very annoyed so fired off a complaint to the BBC, not that it will do me any good?

Piman i think the iplayer programs are only accessible for 14 days so you may get last weeks and this weeks, but probably not the first one.
