Just wondering if anyone has got one of these. A quick search on here doesn't bring up much about this particular model. Trying to decide between this and the Thermal Arc 202 - they look pretty evenly matched on paper.
I thing thermal arc use SSC pedals with there tigs which are very good hence the reason they are sold as an extra. The RTech pedals are a bit cheap and cheerful from what I've heard. With regard to the machines themselves I'd imagine they share a lot of the same components and the stats will be very similar also. From what I've been told the cooling fans on the RTech make a row too.
There is a 210 RTech on there also in as new condition bidding. With filler rods mask etc. the seller needs educating though as he is advertising it as British made.
There are now 2 mint 200 amp sanrex (older much better thermal arcs) units on there for a shade over a grand.
Don't know about you guys but if I had £1200 budget for a Acdc tig I'd go for one one those over the newer Chinese equivalent.
I own a Ta 202 (the review Richard posted is mine) and although I'm quite happy with the machine, it has been taking quite a beating on side jobs if I had to choose between an older used Sanrex made TA and a new 202 (for about the same money)I would go with the older sanrex ones. Thermal arc still has a great quality control over the production in china but Sanrex quality is a whole other level. If you search about the company you will see that they produce all kind of industrial power supplies and that they also produce electronic components used in several other high end industrial electronics.
But if you are decided to buy new I would suggest also considering the parweld 202 http://www.parweld.co.uk/product/xti-202-p-acdc-pulsed-tig-inverter-with-mma-2/ , it's about the same thing as the TA 202. so like others told me when I was deciding which one to buy go with the one that's cheaper at the moment and has better local support in case you need.

Thanks for all the replies! I've had an offer accepted on one of the Sanrex made Thermal Arc tigs on eBay, so I just need to go and collect it now. Sounds like a well-built machine!
I'd better get an Argon bottle added to my BOC account now too!
