Hi masseyno1 , i dont own an rtech but id be inclined to go for a better secondhand machine i got a miller , just the consumables are expensive compared to other makes . You can get a new 40 rtech for 600euro and 10 euro delivery anywhere in ireland (www.wholesaleweldingsupplies.ie) . Try the forum search for reviews. secondhand hypertherm
I was lucky it came up on gumtree , it does everything i need to do i havent went any thicker then 8mm but at that there lovely cuts.( and its only 25amp). Even finding a good welder here for the right price is hardship. Maybe try calling "Irish liquadators " or finding out for any small engineering/ metalworking companys going bust. There are some hypertherms on donedeal but i think there all three phase . Or look on ebay uk or there buying selling sites, delivery shouldnt be that expensive. Ill keep a eye out for one.
