no it’s a mobile guy that comes in. Covers the local area. The last service we had boiling water running on with the hot tap there was a split in one of the pipes so maybe they prioritised that as a safety thing. Was within a week from memory. Our water is very limescaley so
I have to get it done each year. Love the tap though. We don’t really have space for a kettle - that was the deciding factor.

Mrs Robo saw them advertised on TV last year when we were having a new kitchen and fancied one until she saw the prices!
Ours was never quite right needing regular resets, eventually just stopping working completely. I booked an engineer visit in 2022 - it was 5 years old at that stage, but when he rang up prior to visit it magically started working again so cancelled. Fast forward to last year and it completely died again, man came out and replaced the whole lot with no charge (apart from the service visit price) saying as it had been reported as an issue previously it was somehow magically covered under warranty. If we schedule a service again in a year or so it will continue to be covered by that warranty so well worth it.
Sounds like you have scaling issues, you can open the tank up easily, think there's a video on their website.

No me, appreciate if you don't have room for a kettle but otherwise why would you? Too much money?

I must confess I always think how many kettles one could buy for the same money, and how much time they actually save.
While the kettle is boiling I use the time constructively to rifle through the kitchen cupboards for find where SWMBO has hidden the biscuit tin this time.

I had a look at the website, interesting.
for "Just the hot water", we've had "Instant Hot water'' attachments
that go under the sink, and have their own leetle spigot at the sink, for many years.
Many drinking fountains in the office have them as well.
