Quick tap question

I need to order a new tap as I today snapped my m4 tap.In a set that only has one tap per size would it be a first, second or plug cut that are generaly supplied?

If it is a single tap for a set size.
A "Second" tap would be a suitable replacement, as said Tracy Tools are good.

I only buy machine taps, cost a bit more but are much more robust than hand taps, spiral point for general tapping, spiral flute for blind holes.

ok a second tap unless your doing loads of threads on stainless steel in thick material

Thanks all. Ordered up a couple of presto second cut taps(always handy to keep a spare).

for all the price , just buy a set of three , easier looking at them than for them.

I agree same grinding the tip of when you need a bottom tap
