Quick solution to blank a sunroof

I broke the sunroof on the disco and ripped out the glass,
I dont have the time to remove the headlining and remove the sunroof properly, can i screw a peice of plate straight into the upper frame of the sunroof with some sealant? (The outer black part), i have no idea whats under there i couldnt care less what this looks like btw aslong as i dont have a hole in the roof.

Take the frame out & pop rivet a piece of ally sheet over squeezed down on tiger seal?

Is it a windy mech, or a cam one?

As long as the plate is well sealed, it should work.

Just be glad you don't have a modern RR, you have to remove the windscreen to get the headlining out!

Its a windy one, i never once used it in my other disco when that was my daily driver for 2 years or so, so im not going to bother fixing/replacing it.

Take the runners out and Sikaflex the glass back in.

bit of sheet overlapping it ,pop rivet,then gorilla tape over it completly.thats just for speed though not looks.
