Quick release gas connection

On my Esab Caddy C160i it has what looks like a mini male euro quick release connection.
Is there a specific name for this as id like to fit one to my larger mig welder to make swapping between the two a little easier?

Rectus couplings are fairly common for gas and water connections on welding kit. Rectus 21 is probably the more common flavour, the slightly smaller rectus 20 being the other common suspect?

Do a little research and as hotrod states it may be Rectus 21 compatable, the same sort of fitting is on my Kemppi, DONT buy from Esab, Kemppi wanted to charge about £21-00 for the quick release hose coupling.I have found some being sold on ebay by caravan suppliers as gas bottle quick connect couplings at a fraction of the price.

If you need any help with the Rectus fittings let me know.There are copies and genuine,the genuine item has "Rectus"stamped on to it,copies has no stamp.Belive me if you have problems look at the Rectus fitting not the gas nipple

you need to give them a nano second squirt of WD40...constant use makes them dry and it snags on the 0 rings causing them to leak. i use them for my roofing gas torches so i dont have to keep wrapping 30ft of hose around the bottles,also for my welding gasses and between the lot ive never had a leak yet

I used the genuine PCL air fittings on my regulator and hose (before I went all posh and started using AP Ferromax with built in regulator). I had a very uneven workshop floor at the time and I found it easier to put a 20' hose on the mig and leave the cylinder chained to the wall instead of dragging the whole thing about . Never had a leak in 5 years......that's the gas, not me
