We are hoping to get our old Saab up to MOT standard this summer. However, it has headlamp wipers and I can't find the arms at the moment. They will probably turn up, and you can buy them used - but I don't want to spend the money if I can avoid it, becauseI'll find the arms eventually.
Without the arms on, you have a thin, 5cm or so, threaded bolt sticking out just below the lamp. Would this be an MOT fail as it might be dangerous? If I could find something to cover them, like an inner tube valve cap, would it be safe enough to pass?
I'm sure there will be a way round it, I just wondered if it would be a 'fail' if I left the protruding bolt exposed.
Bit annoyed with myself as I am meticulous in bagging up, labelling, and storing the bits when I take them off.
