quick connectors on gas bottle

i have been considering putting quick connectors(like you have on air lines and air tools cant remember what they are called) between my welder and gas bottle so it is easier to move around is there any reason this would not be a good idea, i know they are not massively leak tight but should be ok, i always turn the bottle of when im finished welding anyway.

I have used pcl fittings for years with no issues

As above, i use pcl fittings too, especially when it comes to moving my TIG around as its not on a trolley yet!

Put them on one of the welders at work for swapping between cylinders of different gases.

Proper ones, bit smaller than PCL ones....

As long as they are in good condition they don't tend to leak.

I too have used them for years with no problems makes moving and swaping cyl quick and safe

If you want a small connector try a PCL Series 21 Mini Coupling, they are used on some machines for gas connections adjacent to the Dinz plug in place of BSP fittings.
