I cant remember not really my bag.that’s what I was thinking of
it’s a % of wheelbase as far as I know.
Unless you are building a new vehicle or heavy modding one to extend bed you dont really need to know.

You would guess wrong lolI'd guess the mirrors, as they're part of the original bodyplan.
If you're going to use a pole between the doors make it from box section and attach a light board to it in one operation you secured the doors and mounted the lights and unlight magnets they won't drip off and breakI had a good look tonight & I think I'm going to make a removable pole that goes between the back doors when they're fully open. It will stop the doors flapping about & give me somewhere to fix some auxiliary lights & a no plate. Not decided whether to go for a light board or magnetic lights, probably the 2nd one as they will be useful for other stuff.

1, Except for the unistrut I was within the 1m max overhang distance quoted in the regs someone kindly posted.
2, I do have a 6x4 trailer & I would normally use it for long stuff like the unistrut but the sheets were too wide for my trailer & had to go in the van. But I can't tow the trailer with the back doors open.
3, This was an unusual load due to the combination of stuff, looking at the photo the unistrut overhang was excessive. It was the end of a long day & I wasn't thinking straight, just wanted to get home!
pays to keep a hacksaw and a few tools in the van
always expect the unexpected
