Has anybody actually measured one for you yet? I'll chuck a tape measure over the 6x6 when I get home. Although thinking about it I dumped the inlet manifold onto it last night I think
@CompoSimmonite 16.5" gives you a little wiggle room with the squab. Could probably squeeze into a 16" gap, the runner outer edges seem to be 16.25".
If you want more accurate measurements I can take the intake plenum off the seat. That's on a Series truck cab seat. No runners per se, the base just wedges into a frame.
Don't know if this helps, excuse fact I'm wobbling about on the seat to try and get a pic ! The actual squab / cushion is a gnat's cock under 15 ins wide
this is a series 2a the squab just sits on the seat box rails with no fixture as such, just prevented from moving fwd by the little angle tabs
Looks like Land Rover front middle seats are an option if I can't find something else more suitable. Looking at Paddocks web site a set of cushions works out at around £100 a side which, to be honest, is more than I expected.
Thanks everybody for replys
