PZ Haybob repair

Hi hoping someone has experience on repairing a pz haybob.
The bearing has gone in the shaft between the pto shaft and the bevel gear driving
the reels,so to get at it the advice seems to be to drop the wheel,remove the reel(which is as far as I have got to) next is to remove the bevel gear by lossening the large nut on top but it wont budge.
anyone know if it is left hand thead,and I have noticed a small circular hole with what seems like
a copper pin drilled down halfway into the threads, is this a locking pin?do I drill this out?

It's a little blurred but it looks like a locking pin to keep the brass bush in position.

Thanks for the reply.
That's not a brass bush I cleaned it up because it was burred and then I noticed the round hole,
should I drill down to remove the pin?
I'll see if I can get a better photo later?

Itll be a roll pin, heat it up and pull it out, or knock it through.

Some of those big nuts can also be a left hand thread, worth checking before your nads end up in your socks. The only really effective tool for undoing these things is a big nut gun, it can be quite hard to hold everything still enough to undo them with a bar.

Hi Addjunkie don't think I can be a roll pin the bolt is on a shaft and rests on the main body of the machine.
Bob I wish I had access to a nut gun, the biggest scocket I have is 50mm and it is too small!
I think I might try drilling the small pin out as the nut is only about 19mm thick.Item 1/25 in this diagram,
no sign of a locking pin though.

Are you sure it's a brass pin and not a grubscrew locking the nut?

I think they may be too small for grub screws,only about 3mm across
looking closer there seems to be another hole 180 degrees round.

from looking at parts lists the 2 rotor axles and retaining nuts have different part numbers between left and right so presumption they are different threads
