We were coming round the M25 last monday, rush hour, coming down to the A127 in the filter lane. Lots of drivers push in at the last minute, but an idiot in a Mini came flying up the hard shoulder. Unfortunately for him & his mates he hit something & it bounced into our lane. It was a large broken ratchet strap mechanism. My other half avoided it. The mini slowed down & we could se its left rear tyre had burst, as he rolled to a halt 200 yards from the slip road we crawled past & could see that his front left tyre was flat as well. The three lads in it were pulling their hair out. I found it hard to suppress a smile!

No picture but...
We were once out cycling with a "friend" - I was following along behind doing about 20mph along a not too busy country road.
"Friend" suddenly just flipped over the handlebars and landed in a heap.
When we'd checked he was okstopped laughing we took a look at his bike.
He'd ridden over a framing screw- at least 150mm, if not 200mm long.
It had gone through the face of the tyre, come out of the side wall, then hit the forks as the wheel rotated, stopping the front wheel instantly and also wrecking his front brake.
Needless to say, he had a loooong walk home.
