Naught boy\girl repeat after me I am going to go deaf if I build one of those things.
I built one when 16\17 it was one of the reed valve style only about 20 inches long it sort of ran but starting was hit & miss got it running just enough for my father to remove it from my keeping before the neighbors called the police the noise was Fantastic I discovered girls at the same time so did not pursue it

I'm interested in making a turbo jet using an old turbo charger when I get some time. They sound better in my opinion.

Look of the Colin furze channel. He makes both. He even makes a jettle, a cross between a pulse jet and a kettle to boil water.

I have got a new house and have told neighbours wait till I really move in as I have been doing the house up. This would be next step up in loud

Got v8 series land and v8 tractor so time for a pulse jet

A little titbit of information, the frequency of the droning noise they make is dependant on their size. I was interested in making a replica of a V1 flying bomb that could be either a noisy static display at WW2 military enactment shows or a remote controlled flying model but it would have to be full size so I quickly gave up on that idea. Shame really because they is something about the sounds that really stir the soul, my personal favourites are the Vulcan bomber flying overhead and hearing a Vietnam era Huey performing a flying display and then landing 50ft away.

My uncle laughs at me when he says why do you want to make that and my reply is just because it looks cool.

I think this is definitely one.

I know it's of no use really to me

Tell you the people that invent these new concepts are smart people

I have a book somewhere that goes through the stages of making a small jet engine (For a model aeroplane!!), Not seen it in years!
