Pully replace what do i need to know ?

Those 5 step pulleys - depending on size I would like 1 or 2 please - might fit my Elliott Progress.

I'll have a look, possibly this evening if I get a chance. Wife has cracked down on workshop hours.

Sorry, I've been busy and the dark evenings don't help. Most likely 5/8" bore. A-section. Remind me to take a look at the weekend.

If that motor has a 24mm shaft, it should be driving twin belts, not just a single ‘A’ section pulley. I would expect it is likely a 2HP motor minimum..

It's a bit more technical then simply motor shaft dia - duty, power, speed (ie motor poles),pulley sizes and ratio, centre distances, various correction factors - but a quick squint down my old Fenner wedge belt drive catalogue for a single A-section belt suggests up to at least 24hp . . . a C-section belt at least 70hp . . .

So I think those of us with 3hp motors on belt drive compressors are alright for a while yet

this look good as a replacment pulley ?
